With markets all over the world in virtual free fall and now , at least three large banks in public ownership, positions being taken on apparently sound insurance companies and the beginning of quantitative easing, have we reached the nadir of financial collapse? Well on past indications no! We might yet go to the last position of literally printing money. And if that doesn’t work?

Meanwhile Mr Brown goes on thinking of himself as some kind of world economic leader whilst Mr Obama adopts a loftier position even than Bush. An interesting summit coming up in early April!
